7. Bradford man charged with trespassing A Bradford man is in McKean County Jail in Smethport on allegations he trespassed in his ex-girlfriends house. Lane Robert Hayes, 22, was arraigned Wednesday before Magisterial District Judge Richard Luther on charges of criminal trespassing, a second-degree felony; and resisting arrest, a second-degree misdemeanor, court records stated. According to court records, Hayes forcibly entered his ex-girlfriends Jackson Avenue home through a window and locked himself in her bedroom. He refused to leave the room, causing Bradford City Police to forcibly open the locked bedroom door. Once police gained entry, he fought off attempts to take him into custody, and police had to deploy a Taser to arrest him, court records indicated. Hayes was committed to jail in lieu of $40,000 bail, and he is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Aug. 7.
