VIVO Cannabis Inc. (OTCMKTS: VVCIF) has announced
the signing of a distribution agreement with Australia’s leading medical
cannabis distributor Burleigh Head Cannabis Pty Ltd.
The first shipment from VIVO expected in June
agreement is expected to make it easier for Australian patients to access
VIVO’s high-quality medical cannabis oil, flower as well as other products
through approved channels. The
Australian Office of Drug and Control has already issued the necessary
regulatory permits for the shipment of the first batch of cannabis products
under the agreement. Burleigh Heads is expecting to get the first VIVO products
shipment in June but that will be subject to VIVO receiving an export permit to
VIVO CEO Barry
Fishman has indicated that they are very pleased to announce the signing of the
distribution agreement that will provide the company with increased exposure in
the Australian market as well as enhance consumer product and brand awareness.
He added that Burleigh Head is a big supporter of enhanced patient access to
safe medical cannabis through its affiliate CDA Clinics Australia. The company
is a leading provider to Australian patients through channels of acquiring
premium cannabis products.
Bringing Medical Cannabis as a treatment option near
Operations Director Guy Headley stated that they are impressed with the
commitment of VIVO in producing a quality product and enhancing patient access.
He added that the company is looking forward to offering Australian Patients
and doctors with premium Medical cannabis as a treatment option. Headley
indicated that the company was looking forward to working with VIVO whose
product portfolio is exclusively expanding.
VIVO is based in Napanee
in Ontario and it is a holder of production and sales licenses from Health
Canada. The company operates state of the art indoor cultivation facilities
